Well we finally made it & it's the last one for 3 months! Challenging evening, thank you. If anyone can suggest a book which would help me understand the background to what I'm reading in the Bible (not daily notes, please suggest one. I have to admit I get bored easily and need more than reading the words on a page (sorry if that sounds blasphemous). However, I will also try to have a go atLectio Divina although my mind tends to wander a lot is not focused! jane
It was great to see you at Encounter. I find Tom Wright's '...for everyone' series helpful. (Matthew for Everyone, Luke for Everyone etc.) Tom is the Bishop of Durham and one of the foremost New Testament scholars of our day.
Other people might have suggestions too, but that's mine.
